ScootPad included in Google App Pack for Chromebooks

Milpitas, CA – Jul 2, 2012 – ScootPad, a leading personalized learning platform, today announced its partnership with Google Education.

Google selected ScootPad for the Elementary Level App Pack which comes loaded on all Google Chromebooks. Google App Packs contain popular educational apps recommended by the community, schools, teachers and users in the Chrome Web Store. Each pack includes a variety of educational tools made directly available through the Chromebook Management Console.

Google App Packs are associated with a grade level to best suit the needs of each school, and ScootPad is featured in the Elementary School (K-5) App Pack. ScootPad is FREE and is available for administrators to publish it directly to each student’s Chromebook in their network with one click. ScootPad is integrated with Google for single sign-on, enabling teachers and students to access ScootPad with a single click when they sign in to their Chrome devices using their Google Apps account. This is all about ease and efficiency, enabling schools to get the best tools in their students’ hands faster than ever before.

“We’re very excited to be included in Google’s new App Packs for Education,” said Bharat Kumar, CEO of ScootPad. “With this integration, both students and teachers will be seamlessly logged into ScootPad if they’re logged into their Chromebooks. We believe that the more convenient we make it for students, the more quickly and efficiently they will learn.”
