ScootPad Announces 2014 Interactive Summer Program to Combat Student Learning Loss

Milpitas, CA – June 2, 2014 –  ScootPad, a leading adaptive learning platform for grades K-8, has launched the 2014 Interactive Summer Program to help students counteract summer time learning loss. With this program, students refresh core concepts from the past school year while being introduced to several new concepts to prepare for the next grade level.

Research shows that students lose 2-3 months of grade level equivalency during the summer months. The 2014 Summer Program was designed to help students retain grade-level concept proficiency while preparing for the next school year. The program is self-paced, interactive, and convenient, allowing students to work at any time and on any device. During the 2013 Interactive Summer Program, students were empowered and took control of their own learning maintaining high proficiency in Math and ELA. Thousands of teachers have recommended the 2014 Summer Program to parents, as students showed dramatic results, deeper engagement, and motivation during the school year.

The curriculum has been specially designed to include Math, ELA, Spelling, Writing, Reading, and pre/post Assessments. Parents will receive weekly updates with their students’ progress, while they have the ability to further challenge their kids with additional practices. Top performers can earn ScootPad t-shirts, while the highest performing students in each grade will be awarded a free 1-Year Silver Plan ($69 value). All students walk away with a Summer Program Certificate recognizing their summer achievements.

“We’ve had great feedback from 2013. In collaboration with our teacher advisory board, we’ve designed a world-class summer program which is guaranteed to engage students and show results”, said Bharat Kumar, CEO and Co-Founder of ScootPad. “We plan to continue this tradition every summer with fun, engagement, and challenge to jump start students for their next year of learning.”
