San Jose, CA – December 8, 2014 – ScootPad, a leading adaptive learning platform for grades K-8, today released several new customer support features such as Live Chat, Twitter community help, and Screen share in addition to the existing phone, email, and online support options.
Due to the nature of teaching, educators are constantly engaging with students and other related activities, making it difficult to pick up the phone and call when there is an issue. Introducing Live chat, an instant, convenient, and quiet way to get help while multi-tasking. Not all ScootPad users are alike. Some understand all of the nuances of using ScootPad and doing everything themselves. Others are completely new and need a fair amount of hand holding. ScootPad’s support options are designed to cater to savvy users,”newbies”, and everyone in between.
Given the dynamic nature of the content and personalized user experience on the platform, user issues cannot always be easily reproduced. Live chat and real-time screen share enable users to get help right when they need it. While users can submit an email/ticket to get help, ScootPad support prefers to ‘see it to solve it’ by recommending live chat or phone over other methods. Users can also tweet to @scootpadsupport for quick answers from the support team and the rest of the community. How-To and other training videos are now available for users that want to get help on-demand.
Being a community-driven platform, user feedback and ideas are the holy grail of the ScootPad user experience and design. Similar to the adaptive analytics engine for students, ScootPad implemented an intelligent system to automatically gather user feedback following active usage and then periodically there after. This “live” feed of user feedback helps the team continuously iterate and improve ScootPad.
“After reviewing user interactions and satisfaction scores we decided we could better serve users in ways they were telling us work better for them.” said Bharat Kumar, Co-Founder of ScootPad. “Users love the ‘real time’ support experience and we love to see happy users.”
