ScootPad announces LTI compliance to enable seamless integration with LMS/SIS Systems

San Jose, CA – May 28, 2015 – ScootPad, a leading adaptive learning platform for grades K-8, today announced LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) integration availability on the ScootPad platform supporting both 1.x and 2.0 specifications. This integration enables users to simply click a button/link and seamlessly launch ScootPad from within their LMS/SIS systems.

Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) is a standard from IMS Global Learning Consortium that enables learning platforms to easily integrate with learning applications providing a seamless end user experience. In LTI these learning applications are called Tools (delivered by Tool Providers such as ScootPad) and the LMS, or platforms, are called Tool Consumers.

With LTI integration between a LMS/SIS system and ScootPad, administrators, teachers and students can automatically a) Get an account on ScootPad with the appropriate role b) Sign into ScootPad with 1-click (no separate username or password) c) Enroll into classrooms and much more…

“With this integration, both students and teachers will be seamlessly logged into ScootPad if they’re already logged into their existing system. We believe that the more convenient we make it for students, the more quickly and efficiently they will learn.” said Maya Gadde, Co-Founder & CTO of ScootPad. “We look forward to partnering with several districts in the coming days and weeks in helping them easily on-board teachers and students while driving deeper integration and enhanced user experience.”

Through partnerships like this, ScootPad’s adaptive learning platform is used by one in three U.S. schools, including some of the largest school districts, and serving over 2 million K-8 students.
