Forest Park School District chooses ScootPad over iXL, MobyMax and Mathletics

San Jose, CA – June 25, 2015 – ScootPad, a leading adaptive learning platform for grades K-8, announced today that Forest Park SD 91 selected ScootPad over iXL, MobyMax, and Mathletics to provide personalized and differentiated learning for all K-8 students district-wide.

Forest Park has been using a variety of ed-tech tools for some time including iXL, MobyMax, and Mathletics. They were in search of a comprehensive solution that was intuitive, adaptive, and engaging for their students while saving valuable time for their teachers. ScootPad was first introduced to Forest Park in late April for a district-wide trial, and after two months of comparing ScootPad with their existing tools, Forest Park decided to standardize on ScootPad for the upcoming school year.

“Forest Park Schools were using a variety of online tools to support their math instruction prior to choosing ScootPad. We wanted a solution that would help all students in grades K-8. Teachers piloted ScootPad during the Spring of 2015 while still using the other tools including IXL, MobyMax and Mathletics. In the end, ScootPad was chosen because the teachers LOVED the “scootorials”, the ability to add co-teachers, the ease of assigning remedial assignments and how clear it was which standard/grade a student was working on. We look forward to the implementation of ScootPad in the 2015-16 school year.” said Amanda Walsh, Director of Instructional Technology.

“We’ll take any opportunity to showcase ScootPad side-by-side with other tools. Trials like these allow schools & districts to ‘try-before-they-buy’ and they’re loving what they see in ScootPad compared to other solutions in the market.” said Bharat Kumar, CEO and Co-founder of ScootPad.

Oak Lawn-Hometown School District selects ScootPad district-wide after a brief yet very successful trial

San Jose, CA – June 16, 2015 – ScootPad, a leading adaptive learning platform for grades K-8, announced today that Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 selected ScootPad to provide individualized learning for all K-8 students district-wide.

Recently, Oak Lawn-Hometown School District transitioned to a standards-based system of reporting on students’ performance and progress and was in need of a platform that could fit the bill. The district was first introduced to ScootPad in late March of this year when they rolled out a district-wide trial across all K-8 schools to test out ScootPad as a solution for their needs. Less than three months into the trial, Oak Lawn-Hometown was convinced enough to go ahead and purchase ScootPad district-wide as their preferred platform for personalized and standards-based learning.

“We were immediately impressed with both the adaptive nature of the platform, as well as the depth and breadth of data available to our teachers. We strive to provide our students with ‘What they need — when they need it,‘ and ScootPad has helped us do just that. In our piloting process, we received feedback about the ease of use of the platform. Instructional staff enjoyed the adaptive nature of the learning paths, but also appreciated the ability to specifically assign practice in particular areas for particular students.” said Joseph Macchia, CIO of Oak Lawn-Hometown SD 123. “We felt that ScootPad should be made available to all teachers and students throughout our district. Classroom teachers may not immediately see the need for a platform like ScootPad. However, as more and more staff members used ScootPad with their students, the value of such a robust platform for practice made itself very apparent. We began to see organic usage sprawl across our classrooms and schools and we didn’t want the purchasing cycle to slow down being able to offer ScootPad to our students and families.”

“We extend these trials to schools and districts because we know they are going to like the results. We’re pleased that, as with other districts, Oak Lawn-Hometown had a quick and easy implementation that allowed them to purchase ScootPad district-wide.” said Bharat Kumar, Co-Founder & CEO of ScootPad. “We welcome other schools and districts to experience ScootPad and see it for themselves.”

Through trials and strategic partnerships like this, ScootPad’s adaptive learning platform is used by one in three U.S. schools, including some of the largest school districts, and serves over two million K-8 students.

San Jose, CA – June 12, 2015 – ScootPad, a leading adaptive learning platform for grades K-8, announced today that several L.A. Unified Schools extended their ScootPad Site Licenses for multiple years as a result of their early success with accelerated rate of learning and overall love for ScootPad by both students & teachers.

Allesandro Elementary School was an early-adopter school from L.A. “With all the recent changes in education our school has been lucky to have found a program like ScootPad.  It continues to hit the mark on providing students with much needed Math and Reading practice while acquiring computer knowledge. Teachers have the ability to assign and modify student assignments for both class and homework. Parents also have access at home so they can work with their kids. ScootPad has become an important tool in the success of our students.” said Lynn Andrews, Principal, Allesandro Elementary School. “What has probably been the most surprising part is the willingness of the ScootPad team to take our feedback and make improvements swiftly. Fort Gibson students demonstrate significant gains in Math & Reading with ScootPad

San Jose, CA – June 9, 2015 – ScootPad, a leading adaptive learning platform for grades K-8, announced today that Fort Gibson Public Schools renewed their ScootPad Site License for two more years, driven by significant gains in student achievement in both Math and Reading during the 2014-2015 school year.

Fort Gibson implemented ScootPad to deliver 1:1 learning for students at their Early Learning Center and Intermediate Elementary Schools in the 2014-2015 school year. State Department of Education-led tests demonstrated significant student gains in both Math and Reading scores, prompting Fort Gibson to renew their ScootPad site license for two additional years. Also, impressed by the results, Fort Gibson administration mandated ScootPad to be part of their daily blended instruction for all students starting next school year.

“We are very pleased with our experience using ScootPad. We had previously participated in a program through our State Department of Education called Think Through Math. This year as part of that program, we were asked to participate in an additional test that would see how our students compared nationally in math. Our students scored very well. The test was taken in the fall and the spring. One classroom alone showed a 180 point gain. When we asked our teachers who showed the most gain and success on the test what they were doing, we found that those teachers used ScootPad math as part of their daily blended instruction time. Every student in our district has a device as part of our district 1:1 initiative. Our elementary students (k-5) use ScootPad as an integral part of their virtual instruction using their own devices. They communicate with their teachers and receive assignments and practice through ScootPad.” said Cheryl Hill, District Curriculum Director.

“Our state has a high stakes reading test for 3rd graders. They must pass in order to be promoted to 4th grade. ScootPad is a consistent part of the reading instruction and is used faithfully by our Title I reading specialist. For the second year in a row, 100% of our regular Ed students have passed the test. Our results with ScootPad have been so incredible that our Intermediate Elementary principal is now requiring all students to complete one ScootPad Math and one ScootPad Reading lesson each day starting in the fall.” Cheryl Hill added.

“We’re pleased and humbled to see ScootPad delivering measurable impact and helping Fort Gibson students reach their full potential,” said Bharat Kumar, Co-Founder & CEO of ScootPad. “We are also very excited to partner with Fort Gibson in the coming months and years as we continue to roll out our platform’s new and extended capabilities.”

San Jose, CA – June 3, 2015 – ScootPad, a leading adaptive learning platform for grades K-8, announced today that Penns Valley Area School District has selected ScootPad to enable personalized and differentiated learning for its K-8 students.

Penns Valley selected ScootPad as a long-term partner (with a multi-year license agreement) to deliver personalized and differentiated learning for all K-8 schools.
